Open Canvas: An Interactive Arts Experience Hosted by Wayne Zink & Tayna Stuart Overdorf
Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM
School on Wheels invites you to join Bunky Echo-Hawk in co-creating a dynamic work of art from a blank canvas. Through call and response, he will inspire a conversation surrounding education, youth, arts, community, and homelessness. A graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts, Echo-Hawk examines cultural stereotypes and his paintings can be seen in galleries and museums around the world.
The completed work is to be part of the live acution following the presentation. Proceeds from the evening will benefit School on Wheels' mission of breaking the cycle of homelessness through education.
* Limited patron tables are available for $2,000 (includes reserved priority seating for 10 and private reception with the artist from 6:00pm - 7:00pm)
